Annisa Wanat is a storyteller and wanderer. She is currently roaming around the Midwest, which her family much prefers to her previous idyllic hang-outs of the Balkans and Afghanistan.
Annisa studied improv and satire writing at The Second City in Chicago. The city is also where she learned to appreciate the comedic value of politics. She writes about politics, her off-beat travel adventures, and the absurdity (and truth) of generational labels. When she isn't writing, Annisa is a professional do-gooder, working with nonprofits on strategy and communications. Her ultimate goal is to win the lottery, but she will likely crash and burn in this endeavor, as she forgets to place weekly bets on her state's education system. |
